Aglianico del Vulture Teodosio from Basilisco Vini, grown on the volcanic slopes of Mount Vulture in Basilicata, southern Italy. The nose offers elegant aromas of red plum, cherry, iris, wild blueberry, cassis and white pepper, with hints of cedar and milk chocolate. Mouthfilling ripe fruit is offset by firm, grippy tannins and a racy minerality, with a long spicy finish showing ash and basalt undertones. A structured and age-worthy southern Italian red.
